After growing up with a golden retriever as my childhood friend, work life led me to relocate several times between different countries, preventing me to commit to another friend full-time. But I always looked for opportunities to interact and spend time with dogs — taking care of friends’ dogs, somehow always having partners who had a dog, dog walking at tierheims, or simply going and chatting with street dogs that I come across to while travelling abroad. (might end up hugging them as well) I’m kind of a person who starts smiling when I see a dog across the street. Somehow even timid dogs open up and get friendly with me relatively quickly. Quite often my close friends question “if I was a dog in my previous life” :) But I just still cannot commit to another 10+ years of a new dog life full-time. Baran is the best dogsitter you could imagine! Cyrus has stayed at Baran’s place a few times, and this time it even felt like he knew he was going to spend a few days there. He got super excited and went to Baran with no hesitation—it’s like he knew he was heading off on a nice little vacation! Cyrus is normally a very anxious dog when it comes to new environments or even seeing someone again after a while, but with Baran there was only pure happiness. He came home completely relaxed, and it was clear he’d had a great time. Baran also sent us photos regularly and included Cyrus in his daily life as if he were genuinely part of it, which made us so happy. We honestly can’t wait for Cyrus to go back to Baran’s again!

I speak cat, and cuddle up to dogs like family.

I'm the type of person who makes friends with every cat and dog I meet - given cats do take time to get to know. I cat sat for a very grumpy but loving cat, Popcorn, for 3 years (and co-shared the role for 10 years prior). My time with her included vet visits, ensuring she received appropriate surgeries, vaccines and medical care for end of life care. I've provided cat sitting help from a few nights (fostering kittens) to a few months to various other cats. I catered to inside & outside cats and their feeding rhythms. I grew up with a Dalmatian and during my 3 years doing disability support, I would walk my clients dogs, feed them, pick up their droppings and ensure they had food in the house . I've also provided support to a couple of puppies. I have availability most days and times, with a bit of notice. My special skill with cats: I can read their body language and respond appropriately. I follow their lead. With dogs, I am warm, and a person for them to rely on during stressful environments (though I ask you let me know what their triggers are).

Hundeerfahrene Tierliebhaberin im Home Office

Hallo! :) Ich bin die Karo und lebe für den Sommer in Berlin. Ich bin mit Hunden groß geworden, habe in England 2 Welpen großgezogen und einen geretteten Hund aus Rumänien durfte ich erziehen/trainieren. Erfahrung ist also vorhanden und nun suche ich Beschäftigung mit 4 Beinern. Ich stehe komplett gegen jegliche Gewalt, gehe mit den Kleinen mit viel Liebe und vorallem Geduld um. Wenn du Fragen hast immer her damit. Die letzten 4 Jahre habe ich nur mit Hunden gelebt. Durch einen längeren Aufenthalt in Island bin ich ziemlich abgehärtet und genieße von daher auch die Spaziergänge im Regen :)

Karoline ist super liebevoll und aufmerksam. Mit einem wirklichen Interesse an unserer Hündin gibt sie sowohl uns als auch unserem Hund ein Sicheres Gefühl und ich kann darauf vertrauen, dass in meinem Abwesenheit alles getan wird, damit es meinem Hund gut geht. Danke Karo und immer wieder gerne
